Nicole Zozulia recently graduated from the University of Iowa with a BFA in Dance, Minor in Exercise Science, and Certification in Yoga. At the University of Iowa, she has worked with choreographers: Maurice Watson, Paula Lamamié De Clairac, Eloy Barragan, Alan Sener, Jennifer Muller, Charlotte Adams, George de la Pena, Ester Baker-Tarpaga, Lisa Gonzales, and Armando Duarte; and performed with Dancers in Company across the state of Iowa. She also had the privilege of performing her own works in the Undergraduate and Graduate/Undergraduate concerts.
She spent her high school and college summers throughout Chicago and New York experiencing intensives and workshops from Thodos, Lehrer, River North, Keigwin and Company, Paul Taylor and American Dance Festival. Upon graduation at Iowa, she ventured to northern Minnesota where she received her ACA certification in Kayaking to work as a tour guide at the Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior. After an adventurous summer, she decided to continue her education by returning to Iowa City to attend East West Massage Therapy School to become a massage therapist. In addition to working at Kate Carol and Company Dance and going to school, she works front desk at Core Fitness and is a member of New Territory Dance Company in Iowa City. In the future, she hopes to continue traveling and learning the ropes of the recreation, fitness, dance and health care so that one day she can own a wellness studio of her own.
